CHAMPIONS GYMNASTICS PARENTS ASSOCIATION
OUR MISSION & Activities
Champions Gymnastics Parents' Association (CGPA) is a non-profit society incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta.
The CGPA members are parents and caregivers of developmental and competitive athletes who work together to make the experience of gymnastics at the elite level both enjoyable and affordable for participating families.
The parents' organization exists to conduct fundraising activities to raise money to help alleviate the cost of training, uniforms, L.E.A.P. and A.G.F. fees as well as travel and accommodations for competitions and other elite events.There is no mandatory fundraising at Champions Gymnastics Inc.
Membership in the C.G.P.A. and participation in C.G.P.A. events is voluntary. In 2004/05 our fundraising activities included our annual Chocolate Almond Drive, a VIP Meats fundraiser, a Cookie Dough fundraiser, a neighbourhood bottle drive, participation in the Great Human Race and Recreational Action Photos.
In 2005/06 we have had some very exciting activities. Our annual Chocolate Almond Drive ran from early September to late October was a great success; many thanks to the families who participated. On November 19, 2005 we also held a Silent Auction at BoDiddley's in Millwoods Town Centre; a great time was had by all and some pretty good money was raised! The C.G.P.A. also hosted its First Annual Golf Tournament and Athlete Awards on June 10th at the Millwoods Golf Course (Edmonton).
In 2006/07, the C.G.P.A. held its annual Chocolate Fundraising campaign, the On-Sight Photography Fundraiser and a Pub Night.
In 2007/08, the C.G.P.A. again ran its Annual Chocolate Fundraiser, the On-Sight Photography Fundraiser and a Pub Night.
In 2008/09, the C.G.P.A. again held its Annual Chocolate Fundraiser, the On-Sight Photography Fundraiser and its Annual Pub Night.
In 2009/10, the C.G.P.A. held its annual Chocolate Fundraiser and its Pub Night.
